Welcome to the Captain's Cottage
Discover our charming beach house, just a short walk to Cape Cod Bay.
It is an "upside down" house with the kitchen and sitting room on the second floor that opens up onto a large deck with views of the ocean.
The house is great for one or two families. Upstairs is the kitchen, dining and sitting rooms with two bedrooms and a full bath. Downstairs has a larger family room and two more bedrooms and a full bath.
One of the things we love about the house is the location. The immediate neighborhood is quiet and beach is rarely crowded, but you are only a few minutes from the bustle of Hyannis where you can shop, eat or catch a movie on a rainy day. The beach is on the bay formed by Sandy Neck. While the bay doesn't have waves the water is shallow which means it is some of the warmest on the Cape. At low tide the beach extends out a +100 yards, kids will see all sorts of marine life and you can walk... literally for miles.

Our house is a short walk to the beautiful Cape Cod Bay, a slightly longer walk into Barnstable Village and a short drive to everything on the Cape.

Cynthia’s home was perfect and located in such a gem of a neighborhood! The proximity of the home to the beach was wonderful and we appreciated the chairs and toys available to take with us when we went. The deck and outdoor shower were also a huge plus! Highly recommend this house!

The house was very roomy for the seven of us having triplet 15 year olds. You can park your car on arrival and no need to move till you leave. You’re walking distance to the beach, the harbor and two restaurants.

We went there with small kids and had a blast in spite of the weather. Kids loved going up and down the stairs and the beach ! They found small clams and crabs.
