the bay is perfect for kayaking. if you need more water craft check out "Sea Sports" for rentals

Fishing Charter

there are a number of independent fisherman who run charters out of the marina - walk down & check

Cape Cod Baseball League

teams full of MLB hopefuls play across the cape throughout the summer

Whale Watch

the whale watch departs from barnstable marina - just a couple blocks from the house. book ahead.

Woods Hole Aquarium

the aquarium isn't huge, but fun for kids and part of a nice day walking around woods hole

Cape Cod Natural History Museum

museum is worth a visit and make sure you walk out back through the trails to a nice beach

Heritage Museum & Gardens

museum is an interesting visit, gardens are beautiful and part of nice visit to sandwich

Adventure Park

the park is your standard high ropes course that runs from tame to pretty challenging - book ahead

Long Pasteur Audubon

the wildlife sanctuary has nice trails and backs up onto the beach. there are lectures and tours so check out the website

Cape Cod Biking

there are a number of rail trails throughout the cape and you can log some serious miles. if you didn't bring bikes, there are a number of places you can rent from.

Rent a Boat

you can rent a boat right in the barnstable marina for the day or half a day. you can't travel too far, but puttering around the bay and picnicking on a sandbar is a blast

Golf

we haven't played a ton of golf on the cape, but there are a numbe of options that are open to the public
