Within a 10-60 Minute Drive
There is an endless variety of things you can do on the Cape within an hour drive. Following are some things we've enjoyed over the years.
1-Ferries to the Islands
you can take a day trip to Nantucket or the vineyard directly from Hyannis and you can walk, bus or bike around the islands
4-Provincetown
Fun and quirky with lots of food, shopping and people watching. You can also spend part of the day at the national seashore.
5-Chatham
Charming town with lots of shopping and dining. Stop by the chatham bars inn for a meal or drinks with ocean views.
6-The Beachcomber
Live music, food and drinks perched up on the bluff above the ocean. NOTE: parking can be tough.
7-Sandwich
Cute town with a number of attractions including the heritage museum and a tree climbing adventure park.
8-Falmouth
Lots of dining scattered throughout falmouth or visit the Woods hole aquarium or take a ferry to the vineyard.
9-Plymouth
You have to travel off the cape, but the town is fun and you can visit the plymouth plantation historical center.
3-Sesuit Harbor
Enjoy breakfast or Your classic clam shack food outdoors with ocean views. Note: gets busy and is cash only (& BYOB for dinner)
2-Hyannis
Main street & the harbor have lots of dining options and the JFK museum. The mall has OK shopping & movie theaters.
